My wall update has been on the back-burner for some time. Not because I couldn’t get the walls [it’s your basic foam core], quite the contrary I had them, but I couldn’t find the craft paper [or rather] background that I wanted to use. My last wall set up was a faux living wall that I painted with chalkboard paint and added rocks and foliage. This time I wanted to do something more modern and clean and white brick fit the bill. Micheals was out of it for a while but they finally got some back in stock.
I adhered the scrapbook paper with mod-podge and some invisible tape. I have command strips on 3 sides to attach the walls to the table.
Now that I had my faux white brick walls I wanted something to accent them so I found these wood cut outs at Home Depot.
I painted them black and gold and attached little leaf petals to them.
The top wall has black tiles with faux leaves, and the bottom wall is a combination of gold and black tiles.
What took the most time was adhering the scrapbook paper and lining up the brick so I looks like one continuous sheet. There are a few areas where I couldn’t align it correctly, but no one can see that part, so I think it turned out well
Thanks so much for visiting the blog today, I’m not sure what project I’ll work on next. I’m working to update my project list on the blog. The next DIY could be a blanket ladder or a clothing rack. Don’t forget to “like”, “follow”, or “comment” about your next DIY or craft.
